Self-introduction

In 1977, I first became interested in gaming by playing a tennis video game (ATARI Pong compatible) at my cousin’s house.

In 1978, TAITO’s Space Invaders became a hit all over Japan, and that’s when I became interested in arcade games, reaching my peak with Xevious, released by Namco in 1983.

When Nintendo released the Family Computer (NES) in 1983, I became completely hooked on it, and then I bought a SEGA game console Mark III(MasterSystem), and spent every day playing games.

Later, in 1986, I became interested in PCs, bought a SHARP X1, and became obsessed with RPGs and other games.　I especially liked Wizardry.

After that, I became a sales clerk at a PC shop. I was in charge of the IBM PC section, so I played a lot of foreign games and was amazed at how deep they were. I think the last game I was playing at that time was Wolfenstein 3D (the precursor to DOOM).
